The door slammed as they raced down the steps and out along the driveway to begin their
morning run. Both of them sticky from their morning’s workout, both of them enjoying the presence
of the other. The sun gleamed down on them, basking them in its golden rays, making them both glow
with its warmth as they headed off down their route, side by side.

Chris stared up at the ceiling, a feeling of completeness seemed to be taking hold of
him, a feeling he had never really felt before. His eyes travelled over to the dresser where a
picture of his ex-wife and son stood tall.
A brief cloud passed over him as the sight of her, staring out at him didn’t even
touch his heart, but the sight of his son’s small face, that brought a sharp pang to his heart,
one that made him choke back a sob.
It was one thing to love another man, and as he stared at his son’s picture he
wondered just what lay in store for him. Would he hate his father once he found out that his dad was
gay? What would be his chances of ever seeing his son if his wife found out about his secret life?
His heart ached as his mind wrestled with these thoughts in the morning hours. He could
hear Seth’s even breathing, the way the man had suddenly awakened was totally mind blowing. One
minute he had been this reserved lawyer, the next a wild teenager with raging hormones that needed
immediate satisfaction.
God it had felt so good, to spend hours upon hours of having nothing but pure raw sex
and shit, his butt still hurt from their last effort at love making. It was like the dam had burst
and all because the man had made a decision.
Maybe that was what he needed to do as well? Maybe he should stop trying to figure it
out, maybe he should reach out for it as well and see what happened? No, no that wasn’t how he
handled things, hell it had taken him almost 4 years to work up to just asking Seth out socially,
never mind risk his entire family.
The picture of his 13-year-old son Keith continued to haunt him, as he lay there
thinking. Things were moving too fast almost for him, one second he was secure in having the
occasional time with Seth, which was nice but never really totally full filling. Least if he was
honest with himself, he had to admit that he couldn’t stand not having more time with the man.
