thoughts inside of Mike’s sparkling eyes. Damn him, he thought, he can
read my fucking mind now.
Mike couldn’t explain it, he just leaned over and kissed Billy lightly
on the cheek. Then he stretched back, letting go of Billy’s hand and
waited. He didn’t have long to wait as Billy quickly pulled himself up
onto the bed and lay even with Mike’s prone body.
Billy turned towards Mike, his body shivering slightly as his pants
dangled from his thin ankles at the foot of the bed. Mike lay there, looking
at him, and he so wanted to hold him. As he thought of what it would be like
to have Mike’s arms around him he felt his skin tingle.
It was unreal, but there were Mike’s strong arms, wrapping themselves
around his shaking body. How, he was scared now, how could Mike of known,
damn he CAN READ MY MIND he thought as he gathered his courage to look up
into Mike’s face.
Mike couldn’t explain it, he just knew that he needed to hold Billy
close to his heart. He pulled and wrapped his arms around the blond
bombshell that was his friend. He could feel the body shaking a little as
Billy snuggled into his arms. Shit, it felt so damn good to just hold him
like this, he wasn’t sure if he could handle them having sex. He would
never survive it if it was half as powerful as the feelings were right now.
Billy suddenly felt like the whole world had simply vanished to his
mind. His pain from years earlier was no longer lurking in the background,
waiting to spring forth and bring tears to his eyes. His fears of going out
in the world no longer filled his mind or troubled his heart. Everything
suddenly was at peace, calmed and pushed away like so much dust.
Mike’s soft voice floated across him as he lay there, wondering how
long this would last.
“I am not going to go anywhere Billy… not as long as you want me to
be here.”
Billy started to cry as he heard the words echo inside his heart. He
knew now just what his brother had meant, when he said he needed to find his
own way, to find his own other half. The tears flowed down his cheeks and
instead of trying to run away, as was his normal practise; he snuggled in
closer to Mike’s body. The wet tears soaking into Mike’s shirt.
“Don’t cry Billy… please…”
“I can’t help it Mike… damn it… I want to be with you so
much…”
“You are now Billy… and always will be…”
“No… you don’t understand… I have…”
