As that fleeting image of that day flashed before him, he could still
feel once more the fear and terror and excitement he had felt that day. He
could see it all so clearly in his mind and he could still feel it in his
heart as if it was all just yesterday. The ghostly images of people flared
in his sight and yet there he was, standing by the reception counter or sign
in desk as if it was now.
On entering the house he had seen several people fully dressed milling
around. Off to one side was a huge room, and it wasn’t exactly filled but
there were sufficient numbers watching television of playing cards or just
reading that it made him feel like he was in some resort hotel. There were
all types there but his eyes kept going back to the smallish figure by the
reception area and he couldn’t understand it but his heart would pound
faster each time he allowed his eyes to gaze at the young man.
Miles stood only 5ft 10in and he had a fine mop of strawberry blond hair
that hung just past his ear lobes. His face was like a chiselled copy of a
Greek god, it was so finely featured. You see every line as he talked to the
laughing brunette at the desk and just looking at him, you knew he was one

of him being a co-worker was exciting to him for some reason and Cole could
feel the same reaction now as he did that day.
Thinking back to that day, he could feel the sudden heat filling his
body and the way his body was reacting now was no different than it had
then. His whole body was tingling really and he could feel the hairs on his
arms standing up, as if they sensed something and as he continued to stare
at the young man, he felt a strange glow starting to burn deep within him.
His eyes narrowed as he studied the boy’s fine features. The eyes
seemed to just sparkle as he talked and whatever it was he was saying, the
receptionist seemed entranced by it. Cole strained his ears as he tried to
listen to the warm rich voice that the young man had or so it sounded to
him. Without even realizing it, he had found himself walking forwards to the
desk, and his palms were sweating, as he grew closer.
It really was strange the way he was feeling; after all he had known
many hot looking guys but there was more to this young man. As he grew
closer and the rich sounding timber of the boy’s voice grew stronger he
felt the beads of sweat trickling down his back and he stopped for an
instant, wondering what he was walking towards but something inside pushed
him onwards and in no time he was standing next to the young man.
The strange scent of a distant ocean breeze filled his nostrils
and he knew it was from the young man. As he came to the desk he had
